In the Fall of 2000 I decided to open my home to area children in need of quality child care. I wanted to stay home with my own children and be the primary influence in their lives. I also realized that I possessed a love for children and learning that would provide a quality service to area families. Hence Great Valley Daycare.

I know the challenges working parents face as I have worked outside of my home for most of my working career. I offer a loving, safe, learning environment for children to spend their day. I wanted to create a place where parents could leave their children and go to work knowing that their children are well taken care of and happy. I also want it to feel like home for this potentially difficult transition.

In keeping with my desire to provide a quality learning environment, I planned out a program of activities each day to not only keep the children busy but also to lay strong foundations for future learning. We dance and sing, we talk about what day it is and what the weather is like outside. We read stories together, we create beautiful works of art. We explore through math and science. We play and have fun. We cook together. We get to be good helpers every day. We communicate with one another, respect each other and love each other.

We have a large, happy family in the Reynolds home. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and have 4 children living at home and one grown, married and starting a family of her own. We hope to spread that happiness and feeling of family to the children that come and spend their days in our home.

As for my education, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology that I earned from Castleton State College in 1993. I am strongly committed to education and helping children develop their intellectual and social skills. One of the things I love most is to watch a child discover and learn new things. It is amazing how their self esteem skyrockets when you teach them to do for themselves.

Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions and I will answer them promptly. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.
